I can't say that this book is bad, because it's not. I had to roll my eyes a few times because of the constant slam of "overwhelming beauty" and "rapey, jealous violence against such amazing beauty" but it honestly is not a bad read. It is just not what I was hoping for coming off of Graceling. I guess that's what Bitterblue is for and I await it anxiously.
The story can get a little slow at times and Fire is somewhat a lot self everything (pitying, righteous etc) but give her a go.
All in all: probably won't visit here again but I was entertained thus far.
