Beautiful Creatures - Margaret Stohl, Kami Garcia Beautiful Creatures started out as a really slow read for most of the book. It wasn't bad but I found that I could easily put the book down and go on about my business. Once the action started and the story picked up, it turned to be a very good read.

I really like the male perspective. I liked it so much that I started to look for other books with it. It gives a nice little reprieve from the teenage girl perspective that makes up so much of the YA world.

I found myself laughing out loud at various points in my reading, there is one point in particular that had me quite happy to have picked up this book. Though, sometimes, the descriptions were hard to follow. For example: there would be a part where the author said the character was on his or knees and then a couple of paragraphs later the same character stomped their foot.... What? I was annoyed with that.

I would recommend the book to friends.
